10/28/2002 Entry: "Mah Fish Had Relations"

eep! I think my fish made babies! I see these small white round things on the filter thingy, and I think they're eggs. I didn't think this was suppose to happen:\ Anyone know anything about fish?

how long does it take for them things to hatch or whatever?

lol u won't get a hundred.....maybe 5 or 6 TOPS...and out of those 5 or 6 maybe 2 will grow up. Eventually the biggest baby will eat his smaller brothers and sisters.....very gross lol but thats "nature" for ya. Thank god I'm not a fish.....my older sister is resentful enough of me....imagine if she could eat me lol

well we bought a little container you can put the fish in on the side. that way they can still see the mommy and she can see them, but they would be safe. it was kinda like an incubator type thing

Now there's a chick that knows her fish...thanks! I'll just let them be I guess...I wouldn't mind a couple more fish in there but I don't want like 100:\

My dad has a bunch of tropical fish......if they look like tapioca...they are eggs. usually they are in a cluster....like kinda all connected to each other and REAL gross looking lol. The mother fish wont necesarilly eat them....but the other fish WILL. You cant really do anything to "save" them though. The mother will most likely keep as many alive as possible. If she eats them when they're born its because she sensed they would never survive.

Actually I think the mommy is keeping the other fish away...she's like guarding them things.

if you want the little fishies to survive, put them in another tiny aquarium because the mommy will eat them. i kept my cousin's fish when she went to fla and she had babies and the next morning, the mommy ate them all :(
